About Me

I’m Madie, founder of my resilient space.

My own personal journey through stress and anxiety wasn’t a straightforward path. I explored many options, experimenting with different techniques and methods to ease the overwhelming feelings I faced.

Some approaches didn’t resonate with me at all, leaving me feeling more confused and frustrated at times. But through this process, I discovered that the key to managing stress and anxiety wasn’t about eliminating them completely but rather learning how to navigate them with resilience and self-compassion.

Real Happiness Begins with Acceptance, Not Perfection

I believe that as human beings, we experience a wide range of emotions, and that’s perfectly normal. The idea that stress and anxiety must be eliminated before we can be happy is unrealistic.

Accepting discomfort doesn’t mean being complacent – it means understanding that life involves challenges, and our emotional responses to those challenges are part of being who we are. Avoiding anxiety only increases it, while embracing and accepting those uncomfortable emotions allows us to process them and move forward with acceptance.

I’ve experienced firsthand how powerful it can be to shift from fighting against the disabling and uncomfortable feelings of anxiety and overwhelm to learning how to respond thoughtfully to them. This is what inspired me to become a coach and gave me the passion and drive to help others experiencing stress and anxiety.

Integrative Coaching

Through integrative coaching, I guide you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your stress, and your emotional patterns.

My approach combines cognitive behavioural coaching, mindfulness, visualization, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), but it’s not about providing a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution.  Anxiety can be complicated, and I believe that you are your own best expert.

My role is to empower you to find your own agency, develop your own personal resilience, and create the tools that empower you to move forward.
